The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides a comprehensive range of outpatient
services and treatments for patients with lung, breathing and other related conditions. We aim to provide a supportive and easily accessible service based on the needs of each individual.
The Respiratory Service includes;

• Interstitial Lung Disease

• Occupational and Environmental lung disorders
• Oxygen assessment services
• Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Post COVID , COPD, ILD etc
• Home Oxygen therapy
• Nebulization
• Smoking / tobacco cessation
• Weight management
Respiratory Physiology Laboratory which has the facilities to carry out a wide range of investigations to aid diagnosis, monitor disease progression, determine the effects of treatment,
or to assess the risks of surgery. Tests include:
• Specialist respiratory function tests / Pulmonary function test (PFT)
• FeNO test or exhaled nitric oxide test
• A full range of Sleep studies (Polysomnography)
• Hypoxic Challenges (Fit to fly tests)
• Pulmonary exercise tests
• Allergy challenges
